We are a green tech startup located in Burnaby, with a strong desire to improve the environment and help create intelligent and sustainable cities. We use innovative methods to watch over and understand important environmental data. We want to make cities more environmentally friendly and better places to live.
We believe in open data, valuing honesty and community involvement by sharing important information.
What We Do
We employ tools such as computer vision and machine learning to collect and analyze noise, waste management and urban wildlife.
These technologies aid us in amalgamating diverse information sources, facilitating anomaly detection, trend prediction, and cross-analysis across various datasets. Through these processes, we gain valuable insights into the overall health of our city. Our very own deep learning model and smartphone application help us to collect and pre-process reliable data.
Through the creation of original content, we are able to create intricate neighbourhood comparisons and provide micro-level insights within our communities.
Why We Do It
What drives us is a strong belief that good changes come from useful knowledge. We know that sharing information and owning data are really important for making these changes happen. We follow the idea of open data, which according to the Open Knowledge Foundation "is data that can be freely used, re-used and redistributed by anyone - subject only, at most, to the requirement to attribute and sharealike."
